Dr. John J. Bodkin, II, MD is a Board Certified family physician since 1979 and is a Western New York native. He graduated from Manhattan College in New York City in 1972, and U.B. Medical School in 1976. He completed the U. B. Family Medicine Residency program at Deaconess Hospital in 1979, where he was the chief resident from 1978 through 1979. He has worked with Highgate Medical Group (a family medicine practice) since that time. We have offices in Williamsville, Lockport, and West Amherst, and we utilize the Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital in the Kaleida Health System. Dr. Bodkin works at our Williamsville office at 1150 Youngs Rd, Suite 104, Williamsville, NY 14221 on Monday’s Tuesday’s, and Friday’s and also at our Lockport office at 6000 Brockton Dr., Suite 104, Lockport, NY 14094 on Wednesday’s.
Dr. Bodkin is a current member of the Dean’s Advisory Council, member of the Buffalo Physician Editorial Board, and a emeritus member of the Board of Directors of the Medical School Alumni Association. In the past, he has been the chairman of the Lockport Hospital Department of Family Medicine, and has taught in the Department of Physical Therapy and Medical Records at Daemen College.
Professional affiliations include Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Family Medicine and University of Buffalo School of Medicine, American Academy of Family Physicians, New York State Academy of Family Physicians, and Erie County Chapter of NYS Academy of Family Physicians.
Dr. Bodkin enjoys traveling, reading, snow skiing, and scuba diving. He also is referee for Western New York high school lacrosse games.
