Dr. Michael Dlugosz joined the practice at Highgate Medical Group following Residency in August 2014. Dr. Dlugosz currently works at our Williamsville office on Monday’s, Tuesday’s, Thursday’s and Friday’s.
Dr. Dlugosz completed his undergraduate education at Canisius College with a Bachelor of Arts, Magna Cum Laude in Psychology with Pre-Medical studies in 2007. Dr. Dlugosz graduated from The University at Buffalo, School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences as a Doctor of Medicine in 2011. He completed his family medicine residency in 2014 at The University at Buffalo, Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital where he was appointed Chief Resident in 2013.
His professional affiliations include, The American Academy of Family Physicians, The American Medical Association, American College of Physicians, Erie County Medical Society and the Medical Society of the State of New York.
Dr. Dlugosz received several honors including being chosen to give the UB Medical School Commencement Address to his graduating class; inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society which recognizes physicians who model integrity, excellence, compassion, altruism, respect and empathy; Served as President of the Disaster Action Team bridging Canisius students with the American Red Cross to help those acutely stricken from natural disaster in the Buffalo area, and Awarded Erie County Chapter of the New York State Academy of Family Physicians Award of Excellence in Primary Care.
Dr. Dlugosz was born and raised in Western New York where his parents, 3 siblings and 9 nieces and nephews all still reside. When Dr. Dlugosz is not attending to his patients, you will find him often teaching, instructing medical and premedical students in clinical settings. He also volunteers at the Lighthouse Medical Clinic supervising medical students; as well as helping with the reformation of UB’s medical curriculum to successfully meet the demands of the ever changing medical care system
