Dr. Stacey Gugino will be joining the practice at Highgate Medical Group following Residency in January 2016. Dr. Gugino will be seeing patients at our Williamsville office on Monday’s, Tuesday’s, Wednesday’s and Friday’s.
Dr. Gugino completed her undergraduate education at Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science and Physician Assistant degree. She previously worked at Highgate as a PA in 2008 before entering medical school. Dr. Gugino graduated from The University at Buffalo, School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences as a Doctor of Medicine in 2012. She will be completing her Family Medicine Residency in December 2015 at The University at Buffalo, Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital.
Her professional affiliations include the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association, the American Medical Women’s Association and the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Dr. Gugino received several honors which include the UB Family Medicine “Outstanding Service Award” in 2014, being chosen to be the UB Medical Alumni Five Year Reunion Chair and being inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society which recognizes physicians who model integrity, excellence, compassion, altruism, respect and empathy. She has also been involved in primary care research and has had two poster presentations at UB Scholarly Exchange Day.
Dr. Gugino was born and raised in Western New York where her parents still reside. Dr. Gugino is married and has two sons, Logan & Jack. When she is not seeing patients she enjoys spending time with her family, skiing and traveling. She also volunteers at the Lighthouse Medical Clinic supervising medical students and works at MASH Urgent Care. Dr. Gugino is interested in Women’s Health and has tailored her residency training to maximize exposure and education on these important issues.
